Bioinformatics Centre at Centre for Plant Biotechnology and Molecular Biology (CPBMB), College of Agriculture, Kerala Agricultural University was established in 1995, as Distributed Information Sub-Centre (DISC) under DBT’s Bioinformatics Network programme. Main objective of the Centre is strengthening teaching, research and training in agricultural bioinformatics at Kerala Agricultural University. The performance of the Centre was evaluated and in 2004, the Centre has been declared as Distributed Information Centre (DIC).
